SleepHub®: new science-powered product launched to tackle sleepless nights

UK-based sleep technology company, Cambridge Sleep Sciences (CSS), has launched a science-powered product to re-train the brain to overcome common sleep issues.

Designed for people who want to improve the quality of their sleep or experience sleep problems such as broken or erratic sleep or irregular sleep patterns, SleepHub® combines science, sound and technology to help users revert to their natural sleep patterns.

SleepHub® is the result of over a decade of research and development.  It helps users achieve quality sleep through scientifically formulated sounds that use rhythms and pulses to simulate the waves the brain should produce through each sleep cycle. Four modes guide users through a series of sleep cycles to support them throughout the night and imitate the brain’s natural sleep patterns. A variety of soundscapes complement each mode, enabling the brain to relax and find its natural sleep pattern.

“Sleeplessness is an epidemic that’s linked to a range of health and wellbeing issues, yet there is very little science behind so many products that claim to improve sleep,” says Dr Julian Stone, CEO, Cambridge Sleep Sciences.

“If you look at the sleep product market, existing solutions either mask or monitor sleep but they do not fix sleep issues. SleepHub® is a science-powered solution that can genuinely aid better sleep long-term and significantly improve the quality of life for those who are struggling with insomnia, poor quality sleep or are looking to optimise their sleep patterns,” concludes Stone.

Available in a choice of bold black or clean white matte finishes, SleepHub® features intuitive touch-screen control on a 7-inch display. This is paired with two full range 3-inch 20-watt premium speakers with aluminium cone drivers delivering deep, rich sound quality.

Users can also connect audio devices via Bluetooth to enjoy music in superior sound quality, while Wi-Fi connectivity and quick start functionality enables simple plug and play.

An intuitive interface powered by a custom Android 7.1.2 operating system provides a choice of four customisable sleep modes to suit all sleep needs:

  • Deep Sleep: An eight-hour sleep programme including an 18 minute wake up cycle and alarm.
  • Easy Sleep: A customised sleep programme for those who have a set amount of time to sleep. This setting automatically adjusts the Deep Sleep programme to deliver the optimum sleep pattern depending on how users have between going to bed and waking up.
  • Fall Asleep: A two-hour sleep programme to guide users into a deep sleep with optional wake-up alarm.
  • Power Nap: Guides users into an energising nap with optional wake-up alarm. You can choose from 30, 45 and 60 minute sleep programmes.

Cambridge Sleep Sciences aims to improve health and wellbeing through the power of natural sleep. SleepHub® is the company’s first product and is now available for pre-order from SleepHub.com.
