Cambridge Sleep Sciences business update – January 2025

Cambridge Sleep Sciences (CSS) continues to make significant progress in the licensing and distribution of its SleepEngineTM technology, particularly in the global bedding market.

Key highlights include:

  • CSS remains on track to comfortably exceed its target to secure contractual commitments for 25,000 smart pillows by 31 March 2025, with a current outturn forecast of 75,000 units for the quarter
  • In October 2024, a showroom was opened at the internationally renowned High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina to showcase the CSS bedding opportunities. They enjoyed a very successful show with multiple licensing and distribution opportunities within bedding emerging in the North American market.  Following the show and the launch of the Mammoth SmartPillow, CSS secured initial orders from customers in its three core markets
  • A second US showroom has been opened in Las Vegas during January 2025 as part of the Winter Market. Their technology and products which feature it, including the Mammoth SmartPillow, will be showcased to global buyers and manufacturers with the aim of progressing existing sales opportunities and attracting new prospects. This follows the successful launch in October ’24 of its first location in High Point, North Carolina
  • A distribution agreement and order for the SmartPillow to supply the UK market has been signed with BodyEase Limited. A distribution agreement to supply the GCC region has been signed with Oneiro Foam Industries LLC. Further negotiations for distribution and manufacturing agreements with a range of leading businesses in the US, Europe and other key territories are currently at an advanced stage
  • An agreement for a licenced European manufacturing base is currently being finalised – this facility will support production of the SmartPillow
  • Discussions are in progress to agree the licenced manufacture of a smart mattress product in Europe
  • The esports athletes sleep study involving the SmartPillow continues with pre-intervention data captured and use of the pillow by athletes for a three month period due to start in early February. The study is a collaboration between CSS, Achieveminds (global e-sports coaching agency) and Ultrahuman (global health monitoring platform and products provider)
